Wines discussed here may be awarded star ratings to help WineZag’s readers determine their own interest in purchasing a reviewed wine.  Readers are encouraged to pay as much attention to the descriptions as the stars.  The star rating guide follows:

*          Wine to avoid at any cost

**         Acceptable and unoffensive wine; average and nothing too special

***       Very good wine that rises above its peer group; offers notable satisfaction

****     Outstanding, special wine providing immense drinking pleasure

*****   Classic wine; top in its class, and worth seeking out at all costs
